A small team, between New York and Athens.

Studio Atelo is a two-person practice — one half in New York, one half in Athens — making commercial imagery for clients who care about how the work feels, not only how it looks. We take on a small number of projects each year, and we’re selective about which.

Team

Dimitri Roussos

Tools and Pipeline · New York

Dimitri runs the studio's tools and pipeline — the models, the generation infrastructure, the iteration loop that produces the candidates Eleni chooses from. He came to image-making from software, and treats the process as a system to be tuned.

Eleni Markou

Direction and Curation · Athens

Eleni handles direction and curation — the briefs, the casting decisions, the long slow process of choosing which frames earn a place. She studied photography in Athens and worked as a retoucher for editorial and beauty clients before the studio.
